Founded in 1926, Concordia University Texas is proud to be Austin’s leading Christian university, where Christ is honored and students of all backgrounds are welcomed. CTX is a regionally accredited institution of higher education, offering undergraduate and graduate degrees through a variety of delivery methods. We offer more than 20 majors across four colleges.

Concordia’s campus, unique in its natural setting on a preserve, is conveniently located minutes from both downtown Austin and the Texas Hill Country. Our location provides students with resources and opportunities to learn, explore and thrive in the best of both worlds — a small school and a big city.

Concordia's main campus is located on 389 acres in northwest Austin. Concordia also offers courses online.


Concordia offers over 20 majors in Business & Communication, Education, Fine Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences, Natural & Applied Sciences and Nursing. The University offers master's degree programs in Education (MEd), Business Administration (MBA), Nursing, in addition to a doctoral program in Education (EdD).

The newest addition to varsity athletics is Concordia Esports, a co-ed competitive gaming team that is a member of the National Association of Collegiate Esports (NACE) and the first program of its kind in Central Texas.

Concordia University Texas is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award the associate, bachelor, and master degrees along with the Doctorate in Education (EdD). Concordia is also a member of the Independent Colleges and Universities of Texas, the Association of Texas Colleges and Universities, the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education, the Association of Independent Liberal Arts Colleges for Teacher Education, the Texas Association of Colleges for Teacher Education, the Association of Lutheran College Faculties, the American Association for Higher Education, the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education. Concordia's elementary and secondary teacher education programs are approved by the Texas Education Agency for pre-school through grade 12. Students successfully completing Concordia's teacher education programs are eligible for teacher certification in Texas after passing the appropriate ExCET tests.
